Sarah and Stephen are half-siblings who grew up 10,000 miles apart in England and Australia – unaware of each other for 50 years, as if living in a parallel universe.
After making first contact in 2016, Sarah and Stephen also discovered a shared passion for photography.
Synchronicity is their first joint project. It collects 40 photos, half taken by Sarah, half by Stephen, and weaves them into dream-like stories of their previously compartmentalised lives.
Sarah and Stephen had only two rules for selecting images. They must have been taken before they made first contact. And the images must speak to each other – through a common subject, feeling or atmosphere.
